Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. played an important role in the Civil Rights Movement. It is interesting to imagine how the movement would be if he was not killed. The movement would have continued even stronger and the impact of Dr. King’s assassination was immense. His presence made sure that violence was used to the minimum and once he died people who believed that without violence nothing can be gained were able to do what they want freely. In fact, the main issue with Dr. King’s death was increased number of riots. There were many people who were supporting non-violence only because of Dr. King but with his death, they lost all the hopes in the civil rights movement.
